What's on your calendar?

I don't know about you, but I love to plan events. For some people it's just plain stressful, but for me it brings me so much joy. I love looking at the details like developing the menu, cleaning, attempting to make the place look Pinterest-y and hosting.

Often the part that stresses people out (even me sometimes!) is finding time. Finding a time when most people will be available.Ugh. Coordinating with even six people is like trying to weave through a Black Friday sale.

Planning is something that can bring families together... or bring disorder. Time is so valuable that what you do with it says a lot about you and about your priorities. Setting aside time in your schedule to intentionally be with your children or parents, traveling hours to see distant family, or even choosing to attend one event over another to be with someone you love shows your priorities in life.

For parents, a family calendar can be so beneficial to try and help everyone. Like I said previously coordinating schedules is difficult. Yet, spending time together is so good. Thus, the time it takes to coordinate schedules is necessary even though it is hard.

Making time to spend with your loved ones can result in stronger bonds within the family unit. Stronger bonds can mean better communication, fewer fights or acting out by teenagers and an overall feeling of acceptance.

Take the time to prioritize what you do with your time and all around you will be pleased. Double check that calendar and make sure you have a good reasoning for everything scheduled
