Sexual Attraction
" A man thinks that a woman is attracted to them, but is usually wrong". Why can a man not read into this? Women are always complaining that men are complicated and men complain that women make no sense.
In the "Science of Sex Attraction" it discussed about how men are attracted to a woman's more feminine looking face, symmetrical face and women are attracted to a man's scent when a woman is ovulating. I thought this was interesting that a woman is more attractive during ovulation time. It all happens because a woman is fertile and fertility meant a good future.
What do men look for now in a woman? A woman's physical features have always been a large part of the attraction, but does the figure have a larger part than personality, values, work ethic, and other things? Why does the world place such a large emphasis on body shape?
This emphasis on body shape is what drives women (and men!) to disordered eating, unhealthy body image and dissatisfaction with their shape. This downward spiral continues to make the situation worse. We can see this spiral in all the fad diets, the magazine articles on dieting, exercise, and fashion. We place the majority of attention on how to change the body shape now.
All this started with the idea that men are attracted to a woman's body. Instead of looking for a healthy-fertile woman, a sexy- cute woman is now the wanted mate. Is this good or bad for the family?
